JACK NORTHOVER
Jack Northover is a Suffolk born singer-songwriter and composer. His music draws heavily from his folk roots and often features a vibrant fusion of traditional instrumentation and electronica. With a stark alt-rock persuasion and a strong diaristic approach, Jack’s songs often take us from the sparkling heights of alt-rock ballads through to the stripped back intimacy of traditional folk storytelling and then on to soundscapes of electro-pop and ambient synth.
With his debut album “Tasman Sea”, Northover gives a soulful performance full of lofty, euphoric highs and intimate lows presented through a vibrant fusion of traditional instrumentation and electronica.
Taking us from the sparkling heights of the alt-rock intro track “the Garden” to the stripped back intimacy of “The Shadow of a Mountain”, Tasman Sea draws heavily from a sense of home, and a deep connection to the South Island of New Zealand.
